Activated bleaching earth is a fine-grained, natural substance that can adsorb impurities and colored substances from fats and oils. It is a type of bentonite or attapulgite clay that is processed physically rather than chemically.

Activated bleaching earth is odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, and comes in the form of white or beige powder or granules.

Activated bleaching earth is used in a range of applications, including food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. It is mostly used to purify edible oils and animal fats for human food by removing impurities and undesired substances

Fuller's earth is a term for various clays used as an absorbent, filter, or bleaching agent. Products labeled Fuller's earth typically consist of palygorskite (attapulgite) or bentonite.^[1] Primary modern uses include as absorbents for oil, grease, and animal waste (cat litter), and as a carrier for pesticides and fertilizers. Minor uses include filtering, clarifying, and decolorizing;as an active and inactive ingredient in beauty products; and as a filler in paint, plaster, adhesives, and pharmaceuticals. It also has a number of uses in the film industry and on stage.

Fuller's Earth powder is used in a variety of products and activities today, including cosmetics, industrial processes, and skincare. It is frequently used in face masks and cleansers in the beauty industry to remove excess oil and impurities from the skin, leaving it feeling clean and revitalised.

Coconut shell powder is manufactured from matured coconut shells. The manufacture of coconut shell powder is not an organized industry in India. The product finds extensive use in plywood and laminated board industry as a phenolic extruder and as a filler in synthetic resin glues, mosquito coils and agarbathis.

Bentonite is a naturally occurring clay composed primarily of the mineral montmorillonite, a type of smectite clay. It forms from the weathering or alteration of volcanic ash and is known for its high swelling capacity, water absorption, and cation exchange properties.

• Food & Pharmaceuticals: Used as a clarifier, binder, and anti-caking agent.
